AI Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-04-20
CraftedCalcs uses AI tooling, including large language models, to help research keywords, draft explanatory copy, and structure calculator pages. We are transparent about this because we believe users deserve to know how their content is produced.
Our quality standards
Every calculator on CraftedCalcs meets the following standards regardless of whether AI assisted its production:
- Formula sourcing: Formulas are drawn from industry-standard references (International Residential Code, American Concrete Institute, International Code Council, manufacturer technical documentation) and shown transparently on the page so you can verify them yourself.
- Unit tests: Every calculator formula has automated tests that verify output against known industry values. Tests run on every deployment.
- Human review: Content is reviewed for accuracy, tone, and compliance with our editorial standards before publication.
- Citation: Authority sources are cited inline so you can verify the math yourself.
What AI does NOT do
- Invent formulas — all math is from cited sources
- Fabricate specifications, code references, or authority
- Replace professional judgment for structural or code-critical work
- Generate images of real products or people
Why we're transparent
Many sites use AI to produce content without disclosure. We think that's wrong. CraftedCalcs is a trust-based product — our value is tested math, practical guidance, and transparent sourcing. Hiding AI assistance would undermine that.
If you ever find an error, inaccuracy, or AI-sounding filler on CraftedCalcs, please let us know via our feedback form (type: "Report a content issue or inaccuracy") — every correction is reviewed.
