1. Acceptance

By accessing CraftedCalcs, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Informational content only

CraftedCalcs provides construction material and project planning calculators — including stair, concrete, drywall, roofing, flooring, and related calculators — together with explanatory guides, glossaries, and reference material, for informational and educational purposes only. Results are estimates based on standard formulas and assumptions. They are not professional engineering, architectural, or construction advice.

3. Cost and quantity estimates

Where our calculators produce material quantities, build lists, or cost estimates, those figures are approximations based on standard formulas, typical residential practice, and average US retail assumptions. Actual quantities vary by cut waste, site conditions, supplier availability, material grade, and local market conditions. Do not use our build lists as a final bill of materials, or our quantities as a purchase order, without verifying against your actual cut list and obtaining current quotes from local suppliers. CraftedCalcs is not responsible for over-purchase, under-purchase, or pricing differences between estimate and actual.

4. Building code references

CraftedCalcs cites the International Residential Code (IRC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC) provisions, and other industry standards for general guidance only. These standards are owned by their respective publishers; we reproduce only the minimum text needed for educational reference. Building codes vary by jurisdiction, are revised on multi-year cycles, and are frequently amended locally. Always confirm the current edition in force in your jurisdiction with your local building department before using any CraftedCalcs output for permitted construction.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madabusi Ventures LLC (the operator of CraftedCalcs) disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any content or calculator on this site.

Madabusi Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from your use of or reliance on CraftedCalcs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

6. Intellectual property

All original content on CraftedCalcs — calculator code, page copy, formulas as presented, branding — is owned by Madabusi Ventures LLC. You may use calculators for personal or commercial project planning. You may not scrape, republish, or redistribute significant portions of the site without written permission.

Industry standards cited (IRC, ACI, ICC) belong to their respective copyright holders. Trademarks and brand names are the property of their owners.

Calculation outputs you generate using our tools (dimensions, quantities, build lists for your specific project) are yours to use freely in your own projects, including commercial work. You may not resell access to our calculators or republish our calculator interface as a paid or branded service.

8. Advertising and affiliate links

CraftedCalcs is supported by display advertising and, on some pages, affiliate links. We only recommend products we'd use ourselves. Clicking ads or affiliate links does not cost you anything extra; we may earn a commission when you purchase. See our Ad Disclosure for details.

9. Third-party links

CraftedCalcs links to third-party websites including Home Depot and other retailers. We do not control these sites, do not endorse all of their content, and are not responsible for their pricing, product availability, fulfillment, returns, warranties, customer service, privacy practices, or terms of use. Your interactions with third-party sites are governed solely by those sites' own terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Madabusi Ventures LLC, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of CraftedCalcs, your reliance on any output produced by our calculators, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Feedback and submissions

If you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or other content through our feedback form or any other channel, you grant Madabusi Ventures LLC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that content into CraftedCalcs without obligation or attribution. Do not submit confidential or proprietary information you don't want shared.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Changes that meaningfully alter your rights or obligations (limitation of liability, governing law, acceptable use) will be announced via a site banner for 30 days following the change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of CraftedCalcs shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Ad Disclosure, AI Disclosure, and full Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Madabusi Ventures LLC regarding your use of CraftedCalcs.
